On October 30, 2025, a historic moment unfolded for the Philippine culinary scene. The Michelin Guide: Manila and Surrounding Areas & Cebu 2026 was officially launched, placing the Philippines firmly on the global gastronomic map.

In this remarkable first edition, a total of 108 dining establishments from Manila, its surrounding areas, and Cebu Island were selected. The breakdown is as follows:

  • Two Stars (★★): 1 restaurant
  • One Star (★): 8 restaurants
  • Bib Gourmand: 25 restaurants (19 in the Manila area, 6 in Cebu)
  • Michelin Selected: 74 restaurants (62 in the Manila area, 12 in Cebu)

1. Michelin-Starred Restaurants in the Philippines (Manila and Surrounding Areas)

Although no restaurants in Cebu Island received stars, a total of nine establishments across the Philippines proudly earned Michelin stars.

In this year’s selection, no restaurants in Cebu Island received a Michelin star. However, six establishments were recognized under the Bib Gourmand category — honoring restaurants that offer high-quality food at excellent value — showcasing the island’s remarkable culinary potential.

From family-run eateries to contemporary bistros, these selections reflect the rich diversity of Cebu’s everyday dining scene.
