Due to different factors, the sandbar may or may not appear above the sea depending on the weather, time of day and month of the year. The sandbar is highly visible in the months of January to April.

For tourists who wish to spend a day only, we highly recommend that you book a boat ahead to take you to the island. How to get to Sumilon Island

There are various ways to get to Oslob where Sumilon Island is located. If you have a private car, you may go directly to Oslob and use waze to get to the destination. You may also rent a car to get you there. If the budget is tight, you may use public transportation by going to South Bus Terminal and riding a bus going to Oslob. Make sure to tell the conductor to drop you off “Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort” port ahead.

The boat port is for all guests visiting Sumilon Island, either for day-use only or for tourists planning to stay at Bluewater Sumilon Resort. If you arrive early, you may take a rest at the port so you can relax until the boat departs.They also offer meals you may buy if you feel hungry from the trip. It takes about 15 minutes from the port to Sumilon Island.
